Hi everyone, some of you may find my first post somewhat unordinary!
Anyway, just recently over the past couple of months ive been recieving this overwhelming feeling of Christ "keeping me warm" in a really nice way. The thing is, I'm a Christian by birth and to be truthful ive never really believed in Christ etc. Like I say, over the past couple of months ive began to feel a lot closer etc to Christ. I don't read the Bible and I don't actually go to Church so I can't say ive asked for it! Is this normal to feel like this?

um... you'd have to explain this a little more.

how is that possible?

well.. I guess all things are possible.

I dunno if it's normal, but by all means, it's a good thing .

Perhaps you should start reading his word again. Let him talk to you through it. Your journey has only begun; your guide is waiting.

Reasoning with non-believers without encouraging them to read the Bible, I have found, is quite useless. God's word convinces - not our own reason.

Hi there, nice meeting you!

You were saved from your birth? But you have never believed in Him? I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but it would be perhaps the greatest tragedy, if I didn't tell you that until you repent of your sins, and receive Jesus Christ as your saviour that you are indeed lost. It's good to hear that Jesus is "keeping you warm" I believe that God may be drawing you closer to Himself. I don't think that it's a normal thing to feel that way, it's good though. I encourage you to read the Word.

Anyways, I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Actualy christianity isnt something passed down like (in my case) being a competitive racer. Being a christian is your choice. If you mean you were brought up as a christian thats different. But God has always been waiting for you to make this choice. And I pray that you make the right choice. I pray for this forum every night, (stupid huh?) and I dont mind praying for you aswell.

hi misunderstood - it seems that maybe you were misunderstood a bit

though you weren't born a christian (maybe you were born into a christian culture, but that doesn't make you a saved born again christian who has chosen to recieve the free gift of salvation from Jesus Christ, thus having the holy spirit abiding in you etc)
though you weren't born a christian, i would say you were born choosen by God, for he loves us before we love him, even as foul sinners, and he has gone through your life, even as a non christian, preparing the way for you to be ableto follow him, and it seems he is working in your heart at the moment in this way, calling you. so i would say answer the call, and i am (and sure others are) here, to help you, to be involved in your discipleship as a follower of Christ.. I Thank God for the work he is doing in you, and i pray that you will come to know the living Christ in a powerful and real way, and choose to take up your cross daily, forsaking your own will and choosing to live for His, because He is worthy of your love and worship and obedience, and besides he is a good God, who cares about you deeply, even knowing the number of hairs on your head and other 'insignificant' details, andwants to be intimately involved in all areas of your life, He knit you together in your mothers womb with purpose and good plans for your life, and you are on a journey.. i say its time to 'take the red pill' and jump into the pool fully trusting him with your whole being - there are some foundational truths to know at this early stage so that you build on a solid and good foundation (christ himself, as the cornerstone and solid rock on which we should build)..

praise to God

some questions to guage your understanding of the gospel/salvation?

Do you accept that you are a sinner , and not a 'good' person?
Do you accept that there is nothing you can do to get to heaven or earn God's favour, or get brownie points with God?
Do you accept that because of this that you are in need of a saviour?
Do you accept that Jesus is the only possible saviour that can save you from your sins? and his purpose on earth was to Die to pay for your sins, because he loves you deeply, and this salvation is fully a gift, nothing we earn or deserve, and that God loves and accepts us, not because we derseve any of it, but because God loves and accepts us, even as we are the worst of sinners, because well that is who God is and who is his nature.?
do you accept that you can't live the christian life and lifestyle by your own efforts and strength, but requires the help day by day of God himself (thank God that he gives his Holy Spirit to live in us, guide us yada yada )

more questions to come later

Hi folks, sorry its being a while for me to reply. Being really busy! I know this may sound stupid but ive decided to take a more serious approach to Christ now. The other night I was lying awake, thinking of things, not being able to sleep and I quietly whispered to God that I needed his help in getting to sleep (i know, stupid) and I could feel this warm, loving feeling inside and I remember slowing drifting off and eventually falling asleep. I think the Lord is taking me under his wing!

hey, that's cool.

and praying to God about getting sleep isn't stupid. I do it all the time. sleep is very necessary.

I pray to win a game, sometimes, to help me poop, for those hard ones... and not for the ones that leave a mess, and for any little thing that comes around. It's not like God's all swamped.

Once, on the way to Florida, it was night, my dad had this old radio show in the tape player, (yes, we still have tapes...) and it was at the begining music. The tape has 2 tracks. I was listening to it, and the music stopped and my mom took it out. I asked why and she said it was over. What the heck was that??
