should people carry 'Organ Donation' cards ? would you carry this card ?? personally I think it's a good idea, what good are your internal organs to you after you've passed away anyway ?? ------------------ from your old mate |

Well the only sticky part about that is that if say you have a heart attack and die, they would donate your organs before even trying to revive you by electric shock. So, you might be throwing away a chance at survival by carrying around an organ donor card. †Caleb† ------------------ |

How about your appendix? Not technically a organ, but somebody might want it ------------------ [This message has been edited by BlazeQ (edited October 14, 2002).] |

Well, if you did donate your organs, you could end up helping someone like my son. Kevin Ryan |

Wow... I was just passing along information that my mom told me many years ago. I was only 85% sure that it was true. I posted it partly to inform people and partly to see if anyone would correct me if I was wrong. But I guess it really is true. But on the other hand, the odds are greater that the organ would be taken from you after you are completly dead. There's just still that small chance... Yet, a life could be saved due to your donation. Or a life could be lost due to your not donating an organ. Such a sticky issue. Is it worth the risk? I'm just not sure. †Caleb† ------------------ |

Hiya, I believe someone went to jail or got a massive fine or something for jokingly putting up a "Kidney for sale" on ebay...so ya may not wanna play that trick kevryan: I'm so sorry that you're little guy has gone through this...I can't even begin to imagine the strain this has on you and your family. I will certainly pray for you all and your son. As for organ donations: I'm listed as an organ donor. I've heard the stories of some not going too far out of their way to bring you back if they can harvest instead. But I feel that if God's ready to bring me home, I'll end up in the hands of the harvesters...if not, then I'll be brought back. Gotta remember that ultimately He's in control. And besides, if a few lives can be saved by the loss of mine, then so be it. I've already accepted Christ as my personal savior, but maybe the organ recipients haven't. A couple of extra years may give them the time to accept Him as well. My 2 cents ;D -Krylar ------------------ |

Those are two really good points Krylar. I think you just sold me on the issue. Do you have to be 18 or something to sign up? †Caleb† ------------------ |

Hi D-SIPL, er, do you know the difference between "Donate" and "Auction"?, anyway £1?, come on!. Tell you guy's what, I'll send a genuine imprint of my foot to the highest bidder. The highest bid goes to the children's charity of your choice, and be honest guy's, you'll be the one sending the money to the charity, highest bidder wins!. Go on you know you want an autographed imprint of my size 22 foot, it's a famous foot too!. ------------------ |

quote: Hey i'll tell you what i'll take it, sell it to the British Science Museum as proof that i have evidence that "Big Foot" exists. Sell my story to The Sun, and donate all the money to charity! yeah? Lol! --D-SIPL |
