Hiya,

I was just interested to see if anyone here has seen or heard of an actual event in current days that could be described as miraculous?

Most everyone has heard of the mother who saw her child get crushed under a car. She was so pumped with adrenaline that she lifted the car with one hand and pulled her child out.

And although things like that ARE interesting, that's not quite what I'm talking about. I mean things that you could cl***ify as actual events where the Lord provided a miracle.

Thanks!

The closest thing I can think is that my grandfather witnessed a demon possession. It was a woman. She spoke in a deep male voice and then the demon was cast out.

I had a miracle.

I've known for a long time what God wants me to do in my life. But I don't know when he wants me to start it. A few years ago I worked in a big warehouse in a little office with no outside view. It was kind of cold that morning and a little damp, but being that this is Seattle, that could change in a very short period of time.

While at work, I asked God to show me a sign. If he wants me to start working on his project, to have it rain when I go to my car. If he doesn't want me to do it at all, have it be dry. If he wants me to wait, have it snow a little. I have great faith in God and trust him. I was prepared to change my life forever based on what the weather was like.

When I went outside to my car, the ground was wet, but it wasn't raining or snowing. I decided that this wasn't his response yet. That Friday night, (I think I prayed on a Thursday) it started snowing a little. I thought, "could this be it?" I asked for it to snow a LITTLE so I waited. the next morning I went outside and looked at how deep the snow was. It was only about 1/8th of an inch thick. (about 2-3 mm) It was Saturday morning then so I turned on the TV. Seattle was stuck by a sudden snow storm that shut the whole city down! Later when I tried to do a little shopping, I couldn't go along any of the back roads because of the snow. Our place was the lightest hit. For about a mile in each direction, there was just a little snow. Outside of that, it got heavy fast.

I told my wife about what I prayed to God about. She told me to stop doing that.

Be careful what you ask for huh?

Another miracle. This one is about how I met my wife, Debra. Really cool!

My first job was bagging groceries. At the time, I was praying to God to give me a girlfriend. The parking lot of the store had a park and ride. Debra use to take the bus and that was one of her lay overs. Each day she would come into the store with her friend and buy something to eat/drink while she waited for the next bus. I kept seeing her and smiling to her, and she always smiled back. I tried asking her out once, but I was to shy. So I wrote her a note. I had the note for a while but was always to shy to give it to her.

One day, she came in and got water to drink, but again I was still to shy to give her the note. I told God, if she's the right girl for me, have her come back, and I'll give her the note. Otherwise, I won't keep pursuing this. Shortly after that, she came back in and handed me a note she had written for me! I gave her the one I wrote, and she left. A few weeks later, when I talked to her about this, she said she had held onto that note for a while and she felt she needed to give it to me that day. She even missed the next bus because of it.

Now she's my best friend. I can't imagine being able to ever find a girl even equal to her.

That is the coolest story! The little twist of her having a note to give to you before you had given her your note really does demonstrate God was working on your relationship (in my opinion, anyway ).

Yeah. It's so cool.

She's a Christian too. Her parents raised her to be a Christian but never taught her much about God. (they don't have a lot of patents) So I talk to her a lot about God, Jesus, and the Bible.

Oddly, we also have a lot of the same tastes. We like similar foods, movies, music. We both hate the smell of cigarettes and the taste of coffee. (although she likes strawberries and fish and I can't stand either. )

Okay, after taking a good look at this morning, I'd have to say something interesting certainly happened to me. I don't think I'd cl***ify it as a miracle but it is interesting.

I woke up this morning wondering if today was going to be the day to launch the site, but I kept saying to myself "I don't know if it's ready...what if it bombs when people are trying to use it...what if everything blows up...what if...what if...what if..." Clearly I was a bit concerned about this. So, I confided in God and said that I wasn't really sure if this was ready or if I could handle the obstacles, roadblocks, and challenges that were going to come.

Not an hour later as I'm in my car on the way to work, I flip on the radio and Charles Stanely was on (from www.intouch.org) preaching about perseverance. He was talking about how there will be "many obstacles, roadblocks, and challenges" when doing God's work, but that we all had to persevere and fight through them. Just like Paul had to deal with the beatings, the shipwrecks, the jail time, etc. We have to deal with it too.

Well, I felt renewed and realized that even if I waited another month I'd still not feel 100% ready to launch this site, so I just decided to go with it.

Now that I look back over this morning, I can't help but think that God responded to my concerns through that sermon. It's just too coincidental for that topic to be the point of the sermon after my concerns for that morning. My question is, did everyone else that was tuned to the radio this morning hear that same sermon or was it one that was more directed toward their troubling cir***stance? Probably heard the same one I did, but if not...well then THAT would be a miracle

My 2 cents:

- Miricals definitly happen, there are healings every week in my church
Example: last sunday the paster had everyone who had shoulder probles, or asma come up to the alter, cause God told him to say it... And most of them were instantly healed. one of the kids i knew from you group, who couldn't run much cause he would run out of breath was doing laps, praising God. If thats not real, what is?

- Miricals don't have to be physical, my family has gotten many financal miricals.
Example: Since my parents commited there finances to God, there debt has reduced by half over 1 and a half years.

- Miricals happen when we yeild to the spirit of God. God wants to bless us in all things, we just need to give him control.

well, there ya have it, thats my opinion. anyone here have similar experiances?

Peace be with you all,
Veritech

Muahahahaha! Yes indeed, God does miracles daily. Yeah, good stuff. God has been really doing things in our church.

Some have received songs from God. I mean, I'm talking about songs given directly to you, from God. Very cool.

We have received prophecies. For example, we have been told that we are going to be walking under many blessings this year. Oh! So much has happened! If only I could tell you it all!

Do you realize we are living in the seventh millennium of earth's existence? Seven, God's number.

The most recent thing God has done is what has happened last Saturday. There were both physical and spiritual healings that night. A truly anointed woman of God (who is actually only a teenager) prayed over them. She had a really interesting praying style. She would say things like "fill her up, Lord, fill her up, more, more, more,
more, moremoremore! More Lord, more!" Then those she prayed for would fall on the ground (people were there to catch them though), and some would shake uncontrollably! After about 15 minutes of this, they would just crack up and giggle. It was WIERD! But again, very cool.

Anyway that is just a taste of what's been happening. Anyone else? Stories like this are really encouraging.

In Him,
†Caleb†

My wife's family has been really blessed by many of God's works. One in particular is that when she was growing up, she had developed scholiosis (curvature of the spine I think) and one of her legs was almost two inches longer than the other, and was getting worse.

The doctors had said surguery and metal rods and all sorts of nasty stuff would be necessary if it got any worse, so they all continued praying, and the next time they went to the doctors, the difference had halved, and the next time it had almost gone. I just praise the Lord every time I think of that.

I've found and seen that just doing what the Lord wants, even something as simple as praying, tithing, blessing, The Lord blesses in return if it's done with the right heart. It's really encouraging that the Lord takes care of his children so much.
