Well gents, it's ready for action. I've finally completed a decent, expandable AI for my mini-game. It has some thing still to work out (I want to make the reactions more random so that the enemies don't bunch up so much) but here's a working proof of concept demo for you guys to look at. Let me know what you think.

P.S. Use the arrowkeys to move around, the one that moves on its own is you.

It works great with my computer, except there is slow down for a few secs while moving around when first starting, then after that it usually runs pretty smoothly with a few hiccups in slowing down.

Well, those white dots surrounded me and I was - stuck.

Works fine. If you're planning on adding more I could suggest adding a boundary around the edge of the screen so I can't just disappear into the void of nothingness like that.

Lava: Hrm....that's very odd. I can't see why it would slow down at all like that....

Laz: It's just a proof of concept demo, so I probably won't do much more polish. I'm going to be integrating the system into the Ithia engine in the next couple of days, finishing up the actual gameplay, and then adding the last few coats of extra razzle dazzle with some brand new models and animations. I expect the art section to take the longest though.

Hm, it doesn't run on my system (again). I'm getting a 'Collision System could not be loaded' error.

Ok, I just tried it again and it only slowed once when it first started, but probably because it had to load everything, but other than I didn't get any slow downs, so it must've been my computer.

Calin: You have a seriously messed up computer dude .

Lava: That's good to hear. I think this also helped me narrow down what might be wrong with the full thing.

Hey Calin, check the folder you unzipped to and make sure there's a .dll in there and a folder that says 'include' with a .dba file in there.

What's to unzip, isn't it an executable file? Oh wait, I have to place the file in the old directory?

[EDIT] It works ok, cute. Consider the 'dumb user' hypothesis when you distribute programs over internets =]

Will do I've been having a bit of a cold the last few days, so my mind wasn't completely there when I packaged it up and posted it. Sorry about that
