I've been starting to pull together some free/cheap tools to take my plunge back into game programming and I was looking for a 2d sprite editor and I stumbled upon this http://www.humanbalance.net/gale/us/index.html GraphicsGale, made by a Japaneses fellow. It has a LOT of animation features and has a freeware version that is not too restrictive. Ever heard of it? That's weird.. they are very much english on my system.
