I've wanted to do a MMORPG, but also a multiplayer (Not neccesarily massive) RPG that is over a personal game but updated online. But turn-based. Kind of hard to describe. Anyway, I need some help with defining some basic statistics. Quickness: Its a natural skill meaning you automatically learn it starting out at 1.0 its a floating point ratio skill. This will determine how much faster than your opponent you are. Ex. Player 1 has 2.0 quickness. Player 2 has 1.0 quickness. Player 1 takes out his sword, but because he is so much faster than his enemy (double) he can not only take out his sword, but also stab while his enemy is still taking out his sword. Eyesight: Its also a natural skill which is automatically gained. I'm not sure how I'm going to describe it, but probably with a distance. Ex. Player 1 has 100 Eyesight. That means he can see 100 feet to Mt. Pike, but not to Anvard. This also will assist with Awareness when detecting hidden enemies, and objects. Hearing: Its also a natural skill which is automatically gained. I'm not sure how I'm going to describe it, but it probably will be described with 2 statistics. Distance, and Detail. Ex. Player 1 has 1000(ridiculously high by the way)/1(ridiculously low) hearing. He could hear anything in Anvard, but would only interpret noises. Player 2 has 10/1000 hearing. He can only hear the nearest hut, but can hear, and understand whats in whispers. Strength: Its also a natural skill which is automatically gained. It also is undecided how to describe it, but most likely it will be in multiple statistics. Like one called General Strength to determine endurance, and others for doing things, others for attacking with mellee weapons, ext. Stealth: This is a natural skill which is automatically gained. There will be training to increase this. Some may be born with a natural ability also. Block w object: This is a natural skill which is automatically gained, however unlike natural skills it will not grow with time. It will start low, and increase with training, and experience. Disarm w sword: This is a skill which must be learned, and has multiple levels. It is done of a stand point of levels rather than points. It increases slowly. There are also Races, Sub-Races, Classes, Sub-Classes and such. Race: Son of Adam: This is one of the descendants of the Lord Adam, and the Lady Eve, these only are fit to rule Narnia. Sub-Race: Narnian: From one of the original Kings and Queens, these are most often royalty them selves. Class: Knight/Warrior: The protectors, and fighters of the lands, these are strong and prepared to fight. Sub-Class: Strong Warrior: These use brute force and strength rather than quickness or agility. These are some of the very basics of the game. Much is undecided, but I was hoping for some help on Ideas. I'll post more later. ------------------ MM out- Thought travels much faster than sound, it is better to think something twice, and say it once, than to think something once, and have to say it twice.
