I've got a rather odd hobby that I like to do from time to time. I like to find printable maps of fantasy realms on the internet, print them off, frame them, and hang them in my room. So far I've got Middle Earth and Narnia, and am looking for world maps, or neat, old looking sketches that I can use. It's even better if they're black and white linedrawing because then I can print them off, stain them with stuff, and then they look REALLY cool. Anyone know a good site or sites or have any good drawings or maps that I could use to expand my collection? ------------------ |

Here's an interesting map that I found on this site of ancient maps -- kindof interesting. This one is also interesting there. This polar map was found on a rather kooky-sounding Mormon website talking about the hollowness of the earth. Here's a neat one showing a proposed location of Noah's Ark. This Google Images search is what I used to find those pictures, but if you're just looking for black and whites, here's a search that's just large grayscale ancient maps. Cheers! Please keep us posted with what you find and decide on! I realize none of these maps that I posted are of fantasy realms, but I thought they were interesting regardless. --clint [This message has been edited by HanClinto (edited February 23, 2006).] |

Here's one that I found that is fairly high resolution and looks to be of a video game. I'm not sure what game it is, but it looks cool! Ironforge , Stormwind and Orgrimmar from World of Warcraft (which I don't play btw, I just thought the maps looked cool). --clint [This message has been edited by HanClinto (edited February 23, 2006).] |
