I have what I think is a pretty cool 2d (perhaps eventually 3d) rpg but while I can code the thing out in blitz, I have no real talent with bitmapping, making sprites, maptiles, etc. The game's premise is that it takes place in one tower, its okay it plenty big at this point, but the architecture doesn't have to be uniform throughout. Very few characters, three humanoid, two of which are NPC's and the rest are enemies, and even those are scarce (very puzzle based game). For more info or to offer aid, pm or post. Thanks and God bless. ------------------ |

Dink Smallwood is a game that recently open-sourced, and its graphics are available for use in games until you get your own graphics. *digs for link...* Ah yes. Here it is. All Dink graphics in BMP form. From the website: "if you're working on a game and you need some temporary sprites, feel free to use these, also useful for modying the original dink graphics for mods and stuff" Not sure if that would help you or not. ------------------ |

Kiwee and En972 what is your RPG about? If you don't have any storylines, I have a really good one I don't mind suggesting. I was thinking of making it a novel, but that would take too much work. And right now an RPG is too much of an undertaking for me right now, but Kiwee you seem to be on a good start and an RPG would fit the story really well. HeistheOne, could you please post some pictures of your RPG? Thanks. |

kiwee, those are excellent. I wasn't really sure what to make the main character look like but that's perfect right there. Sorry I took so long to get back to you about it. But yeah, we should perhaps communicate on a more detailed level to discuss the rest of the characters. I'm blessed to have your help. Thanks also to Clinto, I hadn't found any iso graphics yet, so now I can play with that too . PS - if anyone else would still like to please help, you are welcome to contribute, just leave posts or pm's to get any specs. God Bless. ------------------ [This message has been edited by HeistheOne (edited July 13, 2005).] |

I've found out that a friend of mine is still serious about the game-producing business and is also for the Christian-minded games; seeing as he is much more local, and that I've been given some Godly motivation to do so, I am going to be continuing the project with him. I'm sorry if I have wasted your time ------------------ |

I bought a book the other day, called Game Programming for Teens. The young author teaches you about the gaming world and using graphics. His name is Maneesh Sethi. You can go to the library and check it out. It will help you a lot. Good luck |

aahhh... blitzbasic....i used to do that... haha, look at me, i JUST started c++ and i act like its been forever since BB3d, but its felt like a long time... i think he meant he wasn't good at drawing 2d gfx, other wise, its very simple i have to go, so i can't explain, but take a look at the command reference (there might not be one for bb2d, so i might not have helped) gtg ------------------ Blessed are those who show mercy.
