Very nice, if only 'my' torso looked like that *sigh* Did notice a slight 'line' where you have joined the two halves together. Most noticeable on forehead, chin and down centre of back. Pretty minor cos thats an excellent model. Are you going to animate it too? Rhy |

that is very good!! however, it needs something..take a look at mine, see the level of detail..when I show it to ppl they never know what to say. They probably think its a photo of a real person or something! I could see you reaching my level of expertise in a couple of years, of course by then I'll be way off the charts with my stuff. http://photos1.blogger.com/img/123/5139/320/scratch2.jpg http://photos1.blogger.com/img/123/5139/320/scratch.jpg [This message has been edited by coolj (edited April 12, 2005).] |

I haven't merged the verts yet, thats why theres a line. When I'm done, I'll combine it. EDIT: I'm not much of an animator...so no animating! ------------------ - Chels [This message has been edited by cheybea (edited April 12, 2005).] |

Chey - The legs look kinda funny, and that line is buggin me, but other than that. . . OH MY GAWD HES BLIND!!!!!! Coolj - AWSOME!!! Your such a liar... thats a pik... your so... ------------------ I dont like siggys. They are to hard to think up :( |
cheybea Member Posts: 40 From: Registered: 10-03-2004 |
Goop2 - yeh, modeling wrinkles in pants are hard to do As I said before, the line is there because he isn't combined yet He wont be blind anymore..that is, if I decide to texture him... But I'm not much of a texturer..yet I'm just a modeler Anyway, this is mainly a Organic Modeling Test. I didnt do any pre-production for this one But my next character will be fully planned out before I start modeling him/her. Thanks for all the input guys...keep it coming ------------------ |

Wow! Truly remarkable. It does look professional indeed! If you don't texture him can you paint him? Oh, and are you gonna add any hair? ------------------ |

Looks great Cheybea! I really like the detail in his face. His feet and hands look incredible as well. One suggestion I will make is with his chest. The section beneath his armpits seems unnatural. Perhaps it is just the camera angle that gives this effect (the image on the left of the updated picture). Good work! It looks really professional. Keep it up! |

whooah-ho-ho-ho. Thats some fine detail. What modeling program(s) did you use & what tools in that/those program(s) did you use throughout the modeling process to create this? Oh yeah, and whats the polycount? |

This is fresh, the pect region is a little odd to me though. |

Marukokujin - I've gotten alot of comments on that from other sites as well. I've also fixed his eyes (too far apart), his nose (too big), and the chest area of course. I'll post an update soon. Been a bit lazy. Thanks everyone for their C&C. I really appreciate it. ------------------ |

Yeah, it is good but, make sure that is the style that you are searching for. I know me personally, I love SD Artwork. Although all have the right to create and produce the style of our own choice. Well, that is what I teach my students. |

I was mainly trying to see if I could model a male. I'm currently looking for some concept art for my next character. I wish I had something planned for this one..but no. He's just a study. Where and what do you teach? ------------------ |

Had to go away for a lil bit, but I'm back. I got inspired by a metal model of The Red Baron and decided to try modeling clothes for once. So I'm basically blocking out the shape... And yeh, I know his right arm looks short or whatever....I was just trying to get a feel of how the clothing should fall. Ok, proceed with the C&C **DELETED IMAGE** ------------------ [This message has been edited by cheybea (edited June 06, 2005).] |

cheybea Member Posts: 40 From: Registered: 10-03-2004 |
Drawing is not my forte. I can doodle tho =) So yeh, 3D is easier..in some ways. You can always hit "Ctrl-Z" Anyway, I do plan on modeling a girl soon. I'm in the process of getting concepts together for my next character. ------------------ |
