Like the title of this topic says, just post your thoughts about ant games you have lying around, or play a lot.
Of course, i made this topic cos i got something to say, so here goes:
You see, i'm a great fan of RPGs, and in my opinion. Final Fantasy VII is thje BEST (umm... did i hear Chrono Trigger? Thought not...)
Also, Squares qorst errors have definetely been FFVIII and FFIX, which were just copies of the original, cool VII. The only RPG that might actually equal VII is FFXII. Yes, i'm a bit of a one-sided guy, but that's just the way it is...

actually one of my favorite rpg's i've ever played is 'star wars: knights of the old republic' . i like the gameplay. but the story line was really good. i believe they could make it into a movie and it would be as good as any of the other star wars films. my second favorite would be dungeon siege. then after that it would be the very first final fantasy, yep, good ol' nes version. it's a classic. same gameplay as all the others, without all the graphics gettin' in the way

I liked Final Fantasy 9. Also I think Secret Of Mana for SNES is a great game.

Another game I like is Beyond Good & Evil for GameCube.

In the honest and humble opinion of someone who has played RPGs since they came out. The best games we Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, And Illusion of Gaia. Final Fantasy 7 was waaaaaay overhyped.FF8 on were ok, but nothing great. The best Final Fantasy is FF3 (U.S.) Also, although it never came to the U.S. thanks to other sources I loved Lufia 2. Well, those 4 are the best in a die hard RPGer's opinion.
(Recap) Secret of Mana, Illusion of Gaia, Chrono Trigger, and Lufia 2.
Also, cheers to Earthbound!!

Super Nintendo had the best RPGs. I would have to agree with your list Max.

Illusion of Gaia, also called Illusion of Time. Great game that. Did you ever play it's prequel? Soul Blazer? Or it's sequel Terranigma?

Ant games you say? Well there's the famous and ground breaking retro-game 'Ant Attack'

Well I guess you mean 'any' games so I'd like to broaden the topic. Here's a few notables, though not by any means the 'best' games ever.

Hidden and Dangerous: Multiplayer cooperative network gaming brilliance. A little bit buggy, but great stuff nonetheless. Also now a free download!
Battlefield 1942: More WW2 action that's fun with friends, but a bore on your own
Syndicate: Best PC top-down futuristic tactical game ever? Maybe...
Wing Comander Privateer: Pioneering the concept of a living breathing space combat universe, even though there were 'rails' you had to put yourself on occasionally.

I could (and probably will) go on, but there's a couple that are worthy of mention.

One of the best single player RPG's I've played recently was Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic. Great story, great characters, fun game play. This game I think would have made a better movie than either episode I or episode II.
I actually started playing the game again after I finished it to try some different options.. thats rare with RPG's for me.

other games I've liked... I've never been into console games, probably because I never owned one as a kid, I always had PC. But, I like RPG's Shooters are ok once in a while, but really only for multiplayer.. In that case my all time favorite is probably unreal tournament. (btw the Unreal Engine 3 looks AMAZING)
Neverwinter nights would have been good but the ending was sooo stupid it ruined the game for me.

I've also had alot of fun playing DAOC (dark age of camelot) and SWG (star wars galaxies).

simon, you so get what i'm saying then. it would make an awesome movie. especially the whole twist about you(the main character) being darth malak, i never seen that coming. i just assumed he was dead like they said. i would go with the ending of him being good and the princess chick dieing, but it adds more tragedy to it. ok, i change that, i would go with the happiest ending on the game, sad ending are soooo depressing.

I started to play CT and SOM but I think FFVII was better. Now the best RPG Ive played is JakII. An awsome game. I want to play Halo but I dont have an X-Box. I asked my mom if I could get one for that purpose and she said, You want to get an X-Box so you can play 1 game???. That was kinda funny.
