Hello Everyone, I have created a Gospel card game. You can see some of the cards at my Website (www.ice-breakerz.org) by going to (http://www.ice-breakerz.org/gtg/index.php?arena=gtg&page=cards). I am beginning a testing phase under the Ambassador Program (http://www.ice-breakerz.org/corp/index.php?arena=ibz&page=ambassador) with my company. If this is something you are interested in please hop over and sign up. Love in Christ, ------------------ Jesterhawk _,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_ |

Almost all of them I made myself. The ones that look like stain glass are not from me. Love in Christ, ------------------ Jesterhawk _,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_ |

Pretty, but a prime example of why I find 'Christian' games a bit wierd. Don't get me wrong, the cards look totally professional but I'm not sure how for example your Holy Spirit card ('Add +3 to target player's spirituality') is any better than something like the Magic:The Gathering series. You're treating spirituality and whatnot as qualities to be gained by your actions, and by having a winner the players work to out-do each other in these things. Hardly a sound biblical base. in fact it seems to trivialise the whole thing. Just my opinion though, I'd love to hear a counter-argument and since I'm only going on those pictures not the rules I may well be wrong! |

Well, to some extent you are right. All games have some form of trying to get to the goal. And the Holy Spirit card is probably not rated well enough. However, in my game, to foster playing with and not against each other, you gain for helping your opponent grow towards winning the game. Sure there is a part where you have to decide if helping them will be too much and they might win. However, in every playtest so far, the game has gone from "How can I destroy you" to "How can I help you?" That by itself allows for a greater glorifying time. At least as best as I can. I do understand where you are coming from. Love in Christ, ------------------ Jesterhawk _,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_ |

I mean I don't know if you're doing this as an evangelistic tool which is where my concerns lie, or as something for Christians - in which case it could be a good bit of fun as long as people don't object to taking the mick out of Biblical characters etc in a surrounding where everyone knows this is only silliness. |

Actually this game was created to ultimately be an ice-breaker to the Gospel. If you just spend 30 minutes playing a game that talked about overcoming adversity through Spirituality gained through Christ with the aide of fellowship of others in your church and stuff, it becomes easy to speak about Jesus. At least that was the goal. I am absolutely certain that there are those who will see this as you feel. I even know some personally who do not believe ANY game EVER created could ever be used as an evangelistic tool or for that matter even be spirit filled enough to even play. I am not saying you are that type of person, but I know some. I prayed and did what I could for Jesus. If at least one person is able to be shown the Gospel because of this then I have done my job. If masses and masses of people are able to come to Christ then Heaven will be all the more full. In the end, it all has to point back to Jesus or it is not worth it in my book. This game points to Jesus. Are their better tools and ways, yes. However, you will not reach those who make gaming their life if you don't have a way to connect with them first. That is the niche I am trying to fill with Godly games. Love in Christ, ------------------ Jesterhawk _,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_ |

No problem with that. It's main use would be as a talking point - a group of non-believers won't buy it I think but you could persuade some to play with you maybe. |

I just ahad a thought. While it's too late to change your rules I would think , what about a game where you don't play to win, but all play to get the game to end by God winning. ie you all play as Christians, seeking to work for God by ministering to each other and the lost of the world? |

@ d000hg ... and perhaps the game could be timed, so the more you help each other the quicker God can win? A group of you could then try and beat the best time so far, or in a youth group setting, beat the best time this month? Rhy Out |

Sounds like a good kind of idea. You can really help each other without having to suddenly turn on each other right at the end (sounds a bit like Judas!) |
