I'm fairly new to this network, but I think it's time that we get the ball rolling on some of these projects. For the most part all of you have great ideas for video games and I will help anyway I can. So, I'm going to extend an offer to all of you developing Christian Video Games. I recently have been lead to start a ministry called Creation7. You can learn more about it at www.creation7.com, but the jist of what God has revealed to me is for me to take my creative abilities and use it to help support other ministries. Such as this up and coming video game industry. How this will be done is by presenting your video game software in a professional/fun manner. I'm talking about package design/marketing and distribution. I'm prepared to help any one of you who is close to having a viable Christian video game. I'm not talking about investing....I'm talking about helping you market you video game by providing you with professional package design and etc. I have over 8 years of professional experience as a print/web designer. I've worked for large and small companies over the years and I have found that "Image" sells. The Christian video game market basically doesn't exist, not like the secular anyway. So, I feel I would like to jump in and change that! It's time we all work together and produce good products that spreads and teaches the gospel of Christ. Don't you think? If so, and you need help with package design/marketing or distribution. I will do anything I can to help your ministry be successful. I provide this service usually for a donation. Donation meaning you do not have to give me anything. However, there are somethings that simply can't be free. ie printing boxes or game bookets. Printing is next to impossible to get cheap. However, I have connections and with faith we can work out. If any of you need anything in this area or you have any questions feel free to ask me. Thank you for your time and God Bless!

Thanks! I think it's a good service to have available and will consider it although I'm not quite ready for it yet.

Services ARE needed for helping Christian creative media to give a more powerful message, because the secular media with its anti-Christian values is so dominant and so effective and controlling minds. So, I also think programmers, writers, etc. need:

- help with marketing and/or publication. (Krylar gave a good contact which I still plan to try.) Can the Creative7 also help with the actual marketing as well as the materials, or hooking up people with good contacts?

- help with finding investors or grants for funding. There are some incredible projects that could help people (for example I know someone who can help disabled people establish communication through the computer) but are on hold or going very slowly because of this problem.

- perhaps help with getting a project reviewed by major, popular Christian ministries with large audiences.

- help that is not afraid of tackling real subjects like abortion, morality, homosexuality, evolution, etc. The secular, anti-Christian media is of course always shoving its version of these issues down people's throats without hesitation, but Christian media is too often timid in tackling them, and especially doesn't do so in creative works.

These are some of the things that would be useful for Christian software and other creative projects to make a bigger difference in the world.

Good on you. The problem is that this is such a slow moving genre, that it's a rarity that anyone will need it. Hopefully this will encourage us to get down to business and complete a few of our projects.

Basically, it is something I've been feeling lead to do for sometime. I'm excited about it, but most importantly, I feel that Christian video games and software is a something that can be used to glorify the Lord. The services I'm offering are mostly design, marketing and possibly distribution. What do I mean by these things? Really the design and marketing go hand in hand, but basically lets say you have a product ready to roll. You need a package design, possibly a website designed, and may need a game booklett, and etc. Those are all things I can help design and layout. However, printing of these things is always expensive, but I do have some contacts. I do not have much money myself, but if I did I would give grants for this sort of thing. I love video games, but there are really only two well marketed Christian Video Games out right now. Both are made by N-Lightning. Nothing is wrong with their product, but I think their are better products that could be created first with God's help and second with the help of like-minded brothers and sisters in Christ.

To answer another of "Curry's" question is that finding funding is not what I call my speciality, but being a designer is and I do have some industry contacts that would aid in the cost of creating the packaging and pubs. I would love to be able to distribute them through one of my higher-traffic ecommerce site I have, but we must have a finished product to get the marketing ball rolling Although, I do not have money to invest at the moment, I do have time and sometimes that's just as important as the money. Money is always an issue, but if you all are following the will of God these doors will be open to you.

I've been praying that this genre will take off soon, as it could have so much positive effect, but as you all are telling me it's about funds. There are ways of raising cash and maybe we should organize this somehow. ie maybe we could sell candy bars or something. We all live all over the country and there is power in numbers. You may be laughing at what I'm saying, but hey they sell that stuff at my daughter's school and they make big bucks. We pull this money into an organization (ie CCN) and it could be used for grant purposes. That's just thinking out loud, but do you see what I'm getting at?

Curry I don't think standing up for your beliefs means shoving anything down anybody's throat. The truth is you can't please everyone. Once that is realized than you and the rest of us can live life for God's purpose. It sounds to me that most ppl in CCN have found the purpose that God's given in your life. I say don't ever be affraid of what other's say and let God create the message through the talents he has given each of you. Making a dent in the world's thinking starts by allowing God to change your thinking That's my 2 bit sermon for the day....hahahha

Regarless, I think it's a shame that this is moving so slowly and I say we need to figure a way to speed it up. To help each other and then be prepared to see the glory of God through this potential ministry. Also when or if any of you are ready and need some help that I can provide you just give me a shout! I will do the best that I can do to help.

I think it's great that you want to help people out and I certainly agree that more things need to get rolling. Expertise in different areas, like yours in marketing, should make good things happen.

About the other point, basically what I mean is that hopefully some companies and organizations with the vision of supporting and promoting creative Christian media have the fortitude to support something that deals directly with the important moral issues of our time.

I totally agree with you there. Those doors will open for those who seek. That's sounds cliche but really it's the truth. I look forward to see what is going to happen with this ministry.

Kudos to you on posting this opportunity.
You should consider checking out www.cgdc.org - some of the members here at CCN are also involved with the CGDC organization. I know for a fact that the issues that have been mentioned here have been discussed and prayed for within the CGDC meetings.
Tim Emmerich is the one in charge of everything at CGDC; drop him an email (tim@graceworksinteractive.com) or post a private message for him here. I'm sure he will be happy to add you and Creation7.com to the list of resources.

Hi Creation7. Thank you for offering you support to this community. Recently, my partners and I have complete our very first game call Victory At Hebron. It is being published and marketed by Cactus Game Designs. Being a new company, we have little experience in the field of marketing and distribution. Perhaps, you wouldn't mind sharing some of your experience with us. I know that we'll have to do marketing/distributing ourselves one of these days. Please come visit our website to learn more about us and our mission at http://www.brethren-et.com.
