For full-screen games, I am trying to decide what to do with the Windows Taskbar. It's hidden while the game is running, and also in the interface which is full-screen too. But when registering the game, the user may need to switch from the game to their browser or e-mail program. (1) I can just leave it hidden all the time and the user can use Alt-Tab. (My audience is educational and family, not heavy gamers, so I would probably need to make a note about that in directions.) (2) I can note the location of the Taskbar and show it when the mouse is moved to that edge of the screen, then hide it when the mouse is moved out of the Taskbar area. Which way do you think is best? Thanks, Curry |

I would put a minimize button in the corner of the game screen clearly marked "minimize" (maybe just in the menu area, not sure). ------------------ |

My taskbar is set to 'auto-hide' and it is a pain in games when you move your mouse accidentally into that area and the taskbar pops up so I'd say keep it hidden and let em ALT-TAB or something. |

Thanks for the suggestions. Turns out I like the minimize idea. Curry |
