Hey guys,

it has been a while since I've been on this forum. Unfortunatly I lost my ability to have internet at home, but hopefully i'll get that back in the next few months.

Anyway. Suppose someone would like to make a game in the world or Narnia. What kind of game would be bast suitable to capture it in? A massive multiplayer game, an adventure or a graphical RPG (like baldurs gate), or some other game type? Maybe the question is a bit vague, but I was thinking that the world does lend itself (just like the middleearth by Tolkien) for these types of games. I was personally thinking of making a point and click adventure of it. Unfortunatly I do not have the graphical skills to make the backgrounds and characters that would do his world justice.

Anyway, if anyone would like to comment, feel free

Grtz,
Vincent

It is a good environment for a range of genres, I've often thought I'd like to do one myself.I wonder what the legality of using the Narnia world would be though?

I would say RPG would be best imo.

well.. CS Lewis is sorta dead.. so.. i would think it should be fine, tho I could be wrong.

hmmm..RPG would cool in Narnia, and an adventure, etc... so, which one would you like to make?

Narnia would be a great place to base a game on. However, imho there would be copyright issues. Even though C S Lewis is dead, his offspring will still hold copyright. Tolkien is dead, but permition was still needed to make a film of the book.

Sorry, I don't get to play much on the internet they don't let me.

Yeah, I personally feel a lot for the adventure genere, cause of the story-like method and the painting-like scenery you can build, however, I think Narnia does lend itself like the Middleearth for RPGs. However, using things like fighting and parties is fun, but I think a good story in the Narnia setting would come better to its right in a point and click adventure... (personally)

Copyright is an issue I think, but I don't think you need to worry about it unless you go commercial.
