Pretty cool. It reminds me of the original Zelda on the NES. |

Interesting. A GameMaker game, I see. I've played around with GameMaker. Good job so far. Needs some polishing on the graphics side, but a good engine. I'd like to know how you did the text stuff in GameMaker - I've played around with making characters speak, but without much success. ------------------ [This message has been edited by CobraA1 (edited June 09, 2003).] |

HAHA, nice. It's pretty funny. I heard alot about people making RPG's with Gamemaker, but this the only one I saw. |

He left an ad on the GameMaker forums also, but he doesn't seem interested in following up responses on the forums :\. I've emailed btgaming, I'll see if I can get his attention. ------------------ |

Technical comments: +)Sometimes I accidentally click through the windows.. I hope I didn't miss anything. +)The text was huge and probably could have been smaller. +)I couldn't tell if I was doing damage to the monster I was fighting at first. The recharge bar was making me think I was quickly losing health until I saw that my health amount was to the right. +)When fighting I tried to move the arrow with my mouse, which was confusing at first since it only reacts to directional keys. +)I finished the game rather quickly. +)The story was a little cheesy, but it was funny at times. I did like that. I hope my criticisms are taken as constructive ones, because I am excited you made a game. This was great for a first game. There are obvious improvements such as graphics and midi sounds, but the 'Jesus Freak' midi did make me laugh. I guess one smile is worth it... Keep at it. I hope your next game is twice as good. As long as we learn and improve, that's all that counts. Myself included. ------------------ |
