After having thought about the situation recounted in this thread, I began work on a new Chat, titled In Whose Hands, also available in OGG-Vorbis format, that is intended as encouragement. I went through a lot of trouble to get this chat online in one piece. For some reason the FTP server on my site kept dropping the FTP connection after about 3 MBs were uploaded. After trying a system that allows for resuming (or restarting) uploads—and discovering that the filesizes didn't match up, I finally got access to a friend's broadband connection and was able to upload the files in one piece using my friend's connection. I also discovered (this morning, from the log file recording yesterday's activities), that my chats have now been downloaded by someone in Stockholm, Sweden (just a week after they got downloaded by someone in Communist China). They are getting around, then. It has certainly been a blessed month, this November, as regards my web ministry. ------------------ “...prayer itself is an art which only the Holy Ghost can teach us. He is the giver of all prayer. Pray for prayer—pray till you can pray; pray to be helped to pray, and give not up praying because you cannot pray, for it is when you think you cannot pray that you are most praying. Sometimes when you have no sort of comfort in your supplications, it is then that your heart—all broken and cast down—is really wrestling and truly prevailing with the Most High.” [This message has been edited by Tallbill (edited November 23, 2007).] |
