I hate to post this. It is going to make me look even more 'round the bend than some of you must already think of me, but it's driving me nuts and I need some measure of peace, so here goes:

I usually carry a camera with me wherever I go, even to work. Today, while using the facilities, on the fifth day of the week, on the eve of the fifth day of the month, as I was looking at the floor, I saw (and photographed) what looks to me like a fallen and broken "5" in the patterns of the floor. According to CARM the number 5 in the Bible has to do with grace. What would a fallen and broken 5 therefore mean, and why show it to me? Please, folks. This is taking away my Peace, and I need it back. Please pray for me.

Never Forget to Pray!

"...prayer itself is an art which only the Holy Ghost can teach us. He is the giver of all prayer. Pray for prayer---pray till you can pray; pray to be helped to pray, and give not up praying because you cannot pray, for it is when you think you cannot pray that you are most praying. Sometimes when you have no sort of comfort in your supplications, it is then that your heart---all broken and cast down---is really wrestling and truly prevailing with the Most High."

Hey man! Not to sound harsh, but I think you are reading WAY to far into it---either that or Satan is harassing you---you can play with numbers to make up any symbolism--positive or negative--that can have an undue emotional impact. I have seen where people proved Barney (the purple dinosaur) is the antichrist by using an advanced mathematical equation to show his name translates to 666---so ask God for guidance but my guess is that it means little to nothing.

Find your peace in your relationship with God. Sometimes God shows us signs, but more to get our attention. I'd say do a quick relationship check, get on the same side (if needed) as your Savior and then beat the snot out of the enemy who may be trying to trip you up

God bless you Bill, I've said a prayer for you.

Hi Tallbill.
Well the number 5 also reminds about human's weakness and that's what we all humans are. And that is why we need God's grace and His grace is sufficient for us. So thanks to God, we sinful weak humans can put our full trust in Jesus' finished work for the remission of our sins and be justified by faith in the sight of God.

So put 100% of your faith in God's grace and not on your own wisdom and effort, if you haven't done so yet.

(Rom 5:1) Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Blessings!

In Christ,
Jari.

PS.

Here's two link's about the number 5 from where I read what it could be about:

For my afternoon break I went into the lunchroom, got on one of the computers there, and was reading this thread when—right out of the blue, and totally oblivious of me—a young woman sitting behind me started singing, “His Eye is on the Sparrow”, so I really don’t care if it’s still there or not.

On the other hand, I have the photo to prove that I wasn’t imagining things. I have made a split-screen with one side enhanced to help in seeing the 5. When I saw it with my unaided eyes, it looked broken, but the camera does not lie; it might have been laying down, but not broken after all.

EDIT: By the way, the sighting was also in what the Bible would call the 5th hour of the day; so, in the fifth hour of the day, on the fifth day of the week, on the eve of the fifth day of the month, I see a 5 in the patterns of the floor.

Actually, the real pronounced part of the crack makes a 7...or a v.

and all together, it kinda looks like a C...

I don't mean to mock you, but you're really taking this far too seriously.
Would God really want you to worry about cracks in the floor?
Maybe if it indicated the floor was about about to give out, sure, but not this.
