Yesterday (Friday) was my last day of work and I start a new job on Monday. It was hard to leave as there are some really great people and friendships. My boss has been a terrific friend, even coming over and installing a new faucet in our kitchen sink.

I praise God for this new opportunity, but there is also the unknown factor. Pray for God to lay the path before me and to give me the wisdom to tackle new concepts and tasks. Pray for me to be a strong ambassador for Christ.

Matthew(22:36-40)"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

Thanks all.

bwoogie,

I am a Windows application developer. My new job will be software geared towards the wireless (WiMAX, Wi-Fi, cellular, etc.) industry. It lets companies design and plan their wireless networks. It involves mapping and I think also GIS which will be something new for me. They currently use C, C++, Java, AJAX, and FORTRAN. I won't be directly involved with the AJAX and FORTRAN code, although I will need to integrate with it. I was mainly hired for C++/UI.

The product is fairly stable so they are now able to work on optimizing for speed, moving to .NET perhaps, integrating more Java, and many other opportunities.
