The top menu says that there are 83 threads in this top. But I only see one. (maybe 2 after I post this?) Where are all the others?

Do people ACTUALLY pray for one another here? I have long thought that would be the most awesome and strongest difference between Christian developers compared to secular developers, is if we could actually pray FOR one another's success, well being, and prosperity. That we could truly support one another, rather than compete viscously like sometimes (not always but sometimes) happens in the secular business world. I think a developer community (like this one) that can bond together and pray for one another and truly wish the best for one another. Set aside our differences and cling to our similarities and our common faith in Christ. THAT would be truly remarkable.

I already pray (privately) for the Christian game developers that I have met or know about. It would be neat to see more people stepping forward as prayer warriors to shield and strengthen the Christian Game Development community in prayer.

I agree, we should pray for each other. Despite the background noise of bickering that occurs here, like all forums, there is a great deal of encouragement, sharing of ideas, praise reports, and all manner of interesting and informative technical discussions. Prayer may be the answer to filtering out some of the noise. Another option would be more active moderation.

I do pray for some of those here, but I should do it more often. However, as far as I know, we all hope all goes well with each-other's projects.

i agree with all you guys too.

i just wanted to tell you that sometime last month( i think), i made a program that counts all files on your system and tell you how many of each type you have (in c++), and apparently at that time i had my old hard disk and the total count of the .exe files on my system was 666 after a week or so i got rid of that hard disk and got myself a new one (the old one was about 9gb and the new one is 160gb )

i was freaked out for a while when i saw that number.

that is actually a really cool idea especially now seeing as how the game market seems to be caught up in a flame war (especially 360 vs ps3 vs wii) and more press is being generated on who is slinging what mud as opposed to who is making awesome games. games after all is just the newest artform out there and the quickest way to degrade and destroy an artform is turing it into politics and mud slinging--it is cool to see someone put up a different idea of encouragement LOL on the 666 thing---don't worry tho if you aren't tattooing it on your forehead or hand and adopting a belief system of man is greater than God, I think God will only damn your PC (and maybe Bill Gates) hehe

I know, but seeing as its a christian forum its kinda fun to joke about seeing as everyone gets it.

As for where all the threads are, do you have how much you want to see set to all?

I'm looking into the games and gameplay that I would like rather than the whole flame-war/fan-boy stuff.

Praying for each other and their project's - excellent idea! Well I have prayed success of others before but I tend to forget, so what about starting a prayer request thread? I would try to remember to check it every day and pray - saying this to encourage you all to do so for God hear's our prayers.

If we pray that God's will would happen and that He would give us the best blessings by first guiding us to His way - because He knows what is good for us - then I think we should really put some effort on praying even on this matter.

Joh 17:26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

i think so too,you know what might be good,if there was a special icon on the topics list in the main page for prayer topics.

anyways i found how to access old prayer threads,
ok here is a link to one of the threads you can view now(this one i think):
http://www.christiancoders.com/cgi-bin/ubb-cgi/postdisplay.cgi?forum=Forum10&topic=000084

to access other threads all you have to do is change the number at the end (84 ) to any number less than 84(current number of threads).

so lets say i wanted to know what the 33 th prayer thread was i'll do like:
http://www.christiancoders.com/cgi-bin/ubb-cgi/postdisplay.cgi?forum=Forum10&topic=000033

or let's say you want to know what the very first prayer thread was you'll use this:
http://www.christiancoders.com/cgi-bin/ubb-cgi/postdisplay.cgi?forum=Forum10&topic=000001
