tonight at service our pastor preached on doing GOD's will, and i just got done watching a preacher on tv preach the exact same thing, so i'm taking it as GOD is trying to get something through my thick skull :-). i know i was called to preach, that is the main thing HE wants me to do. but for a long time now i've had the thought of being a youth minister at my church, but when i went to my pastor he said i wan't ready, and at that time i wasn't. anyway, i'm thinking about it and i really want to help our youth group grow spiritually, and teach them. i just turned 19, but i was ordained when i was 17, or just turned 18. our youth director is making some mistakes, and i need to talk to him, but that's between us and GOD. it'd be nice if y'all done some praying for me, mostly i want GOD's will to be done and not my will, or what i think would work. well, later and GOD bless. |

i don't know how he knows he has been called. but the great commission and other scriptures are a start - since he is a Christian, they would be relevant to Him. Maybe he knows through a prophecy or one of the myriad ways of communicating with us that God has done through history as recorded in the bible. maybe that would be a good thread to start "the ways God communicates with us" Karl ------------------ |

i know i've been called because of fruits i've beared now(proof of GOD's spirit dwelling in me). but i knew because i knew(and still know) GOD's voice, and that's what HE told me to do. like how JESUS said HIS sheep know HIS voice, and my life would be incomplete without the calling on my life. i'm not talking called to preach like every CHRISTian is commanded, but as in a minister of the word. the apostle, evangelist, prophet, pastor and teacher kind of preacher, no i'm not all those, but those are the examples. anywho, thanks for the prayers people. |
