Well, i was thinking, and im pretty sure that there isnt an IRC chat setup for CCN, however, if we were to get enough people and we were to find a good time, would a 3rd party chat system work, such as an instant messneger system or another sites IRC? Just a thought, since we might have an easier time tossing games around and perhaps figuring out what we could do for the next project. ------------------ |

Yeah, it's not very well advertised, and I don't spend nearly as much time on there as I used to, but #ccn-chatzone is where we've actually done a lot of the development coordination for Bible Dave. Without using that channel, I'm not sure we would have come as far as we have this quickly. Cheers! --clint |

Would be great to have more people on there. When I'm at home I'm on most of the day, and jari is on all the time. Lately I haven't been on that much since I'm away from home and thus not at my computer all day. Jeff | ||

You need an IRC client (which is a chat program made for IRC). You should be able to find a myrid of options, many of which will be Open Source and therfore free. Then in the program you put in the server and chanel information and your done. If you need any help finding an IRC client ask some of the guys around who use your OS. I use Mac so I can tell you mac clients but I'm guessing you use Windows. Jeff |

Yah I saw your post on using ogre on Xcode hope you get that working. If you ever want to pay for an engine you should check out http://www.unity3d.com because its amazing! As far as IRC clients the two most popular are http://homepage.mac.com/philrobin/conversation/index.html and http://colloquy.info/ I use the former. Great to have another Mac guy around! There are a number of us, catch you around feel free to add me to IM if you have one. I use AIM, YIM, and i stopped using MSN recently since it wanted me to update and i didnt feel like it lol. You can catch me on aim at least anytime at LegaianDragoon. I may not reply immediately, i will at least add you though. I decided to give conversation a shot and it seems like it works pretty good. I've considered using unity, the only thing is that i want something that i could use with windows users as well, so ive considered Torque, however i dont have the money to purchase either of those. That's where ogre came in, since its free, it sounds like its fairly open, and i can make games with windows users as well. I heard that the unity team isnt planning on making one for windows, so unless i find a large, great mac team, thats not my top choice as far as an environment goes. In any case, has the community ever considered having a day we set up where everyone tries to get on the IRC chat and discusses the projects they are currently working on, would like to work on, or even discuss the CCN project were trying to start?
