I think that Krylar should try out Joomla. It has a forum extension.
However if he is more interested in this being a more forum related comuntiy, I'd suggest drupal and phpBB. What do you think?

(I also suggest that to keep more of the CCN appearance and style to go with phpBB rather than Joomla Board)

what's Joomla? and invisionfree is great if he wants it to be more forumbased... i never could get phpBB to work for me... lol... i use invisionfree.com for my forums... lol...

in order for phpBB to work , I'm pretty sure your server has to have php installed.

I was just going through and decided that as I was reading threads, that I would answer your questions today. It seemed that everyone else was ignoring you, so I thought I'd at least be helpful and answer your questions.

I can be more droll about it if you like, or I can be more mean and frustrated that you didn't Google it yourself before wasting a post on it, but I thought I would try and be cheerful. "Here ya' go" was about the best I could come up with, I hope you don't mind.

Yes... Krylar's plan should have auto-updates. Mine does. Last year I had phpBB 2.0.18 now I have 2.0.19. I also had Apache 1.33 5 days ago now I have Apache 3.34 Great service plus they have mod_python!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

umm... i actually sort of did Google it.... lol... actually, I noticed the ChOLUG was hosted with Joomla (had a disclaimer at the bottom) and saw the link, so i just followed it to the site before Clint answered my question... if nobody had answered me and i hadn't found that, i probably would have Googled it... lol... that's ok CPU...
