is that for real? it sounds like a gag to me. especially the sensitivity training...that's a hard one for me to swallow, and if it's real gta will prob'ly cease to exist after it's released. do to the main reason most people buy it is the violance and everything else that shouldn't be mass consumed. anywho, it is an interesting article. |

yeah it is a joke ![]() -----personally I believe that violence in games is ok---it is fantasy after all just like Lord of the Rings---although I am not a Rockstar fan---their games are actually really boring---but either way there is no way that isn't a gag--like that one dude who tried to say there was going to be a Dance Dance Revolution Extreme II ---on www.ddrfreak.com---that was hilarious ------------------ |

I have actually played a couple of the GTA games and I don't particularly mind a bit of mindless violence in my games but their last offering 'Vice City' just crossed the line I'm afraid. Not necessarily because of the violence, but dealing drugs from an ice cream van, and engaging prostitutes is not suitable behaviour, even in a virtual world. What I do like about the franchise is the free form nature of the games. Sure, there are missions to follow, but generally how you complete them is up to you. Or you can just wander around exploring a fairly vibrant environment. I think there is a definite opportunity for someone to stand up and make a GTA inspired game from a nicer perspective. Perhaps law enforcement (if you don't mind the stereotype). I would not be surprised if that's their next project. |

i don't care much for violent games, at least not realistic looking games. like quake 3 arena doesn't bother me because it's like watching a cartoon(to me). anyone ever play freelancer, i like that game. but you can pull of jobs, rob ships, do whatever you want to make the money, and it has a story line to follow, and an end. i wish i had dsl still, i'd rather play it online with a lot of people. i like the gaming and the community thing going on in some online games. ------------------ |

quote: I think playing any video game is like watching a cartoon--although I detest games that try to sell themselves on gore alone---like Mortal Kombat for the longest time (for Deadly Alliance, they actually made it into a game and gore took a backseat--so it actually plays like a fun game--shocking for MK)---I dunno, I never could get into online gaming I play XBOX live and Ps2 online a tad, I have played a little online with my pc----but for some reason it is not very engaging to me---but then again I rarely play any type of multiplayer as of late---not sure why I just haven't found any cool games I want play against someone else on---althoug my fried got Resident Evil Outbreak--and that is pretty cool online----a bit enclosed for an online game tho (you and 3 other ppl work together to go through tight spaces of a city and try to avoid zombies--but there is only one path you can take at any given time to finish the current goal) ------------------ |
