Krylar recently gave me the 'tools' to the site and although I'm not to hot on changing a ton of things, I'm interested in hearing from everyone what they would like to see modified/changed with the site.

Uh, how about a bigger avatar selection? I have a bunch of hubble space photo avatars I made that I'm willing to donate. Send me an e-mail if you're interested.

How about some brighter, cheery colors?

Give me time...I'm sure I'll have some more ideas.

Glad you've been promoted

phpbb is a powerful bulletun board most certainly, but what does it really offer above and beyond UBB? In my estimation (I could be wrong) transferring this lot over to phpbb would be no easy task and for what?

I would be interested to hear what other members have to say on that score but talking of other boards!! many boards nowadays have a forum in the community section titled "introductions"

I have seen this work very well

Mainly it is used for new members themselves to start off by writing a few lines about themselves, but one board I have seen senior members actually write into the introductions forum e.g "Chiefy!! Welcome onboard matey - what is your story then?" as soon as they see that you have registered

in many cases this is enough to persuade a newbie to "reply" rather than in many cases that we see - register - 0 posts - gone

nice to see you raise this Mack !! good going! (still sad to see Krylar move into the background though)

How about a link that brings up a list of the new threads since your last visit?

If your going to go for brighter colors I would suggest a white background and the rest a more welcoming color. Anything other then white or black is often to much of a head ake to read off of.

If you need help with cleaning up some art Mack let me know. I may be able to do something with it. Also it I may be abile to clean up the gif animations so they dont look so chopy. The main prob is getting the orginals back. I lost them a while back and dont know what cd they are on.

ops little girl is after the keyboard... perhaps i will returen to this later.

Angel, here's a bit of a tip, find and download a free program called InsideCat...You just let it scan all your CD's in and it stores all the file structures in a searchable and browsable database..makes finding those elusive files an absolute breeze!
