Okay, here's where I look dumb  Camportal? Meaning a way for people to see each other via webcams or something?If so, I've never considered that. Would be an interesting way for team-members to communicate though. My biggest concern is how much bandwidth would it eat up? If it's just a connection point that transfers off to peer-to-peer, then it wouldn't matter...but if it requires hosting bandwidth that would be bad. a webcam portal is basically a place where a bunch of people put their webcams and you can see about nine on one page you can lessen the bandwidth it takes up by making the refresh rate less. Most of the time people just choose a webcam shot they choose and leave it up there for a while. Another description is "putting a bunch people on display that try to be funny". Well I went to that page that was posted above... sad to say the lag beast was there and he was makeing everything slower then mulasses! So if ya want to put it up thats up to you but I dont care for it much less see a point to it. No offens it just dosnt seem that usefull. Anything that I need to make a visual for I can just draw a little dumb thing and send it off in gif and it will get the point across alot faster. I think there was one person I know who wanted to do something like that. Forgot who but some people have diffrent oppenions from mine. |
