For those who remember the Amiga—whether with fondness or not—and who thought it passed into eternity, I offer this unexpected little tidbit.

P.S.: The company president is a Christian of my acquaintance, and who has been through an awful lot while heading up Amiga.

Never Forget to Pray!

"...prayer itself is an art which only the Holy Ghost can teach us. He is the giver of all prayer. Pray for prayer---pray till you can pray; pray to be helped to pray, and give not up praying because you cannot pray, for it is when you think you cannot pray that you are most praying. Sometimes when you have no sort of comfort in your supplications, it is then that your heart---all broken and cast down---is really wrestling and truly prevailing with the Most High."

Very good friend of mine is writing the Amiga Visual Devloper - it's quite an IDE - I'm hoping he ports it to linux. He was actually developing for the amiga full time for quite awhile.

The big issue is a lack of hardware for the new machines. Although there is talk about some individuals making their own.

There is talk of a “mystery machine” that will run AmigaOS4, but no one in the know will name the machine. There is lots of speculation over which machine it is, but outside of the companies involved, no one really knows, and the companies involved seem to be under strict NDA regarding it.

It is fun to try to keep track of all of the “hints” that slip out so you can poke those who get surprised by the occasional announcement.
