This is the first poem I had published. It's kinda cheesey but it's cute and was written for a special person. I got another one I have had published but that's very dark. It made it in a darker kinda of magazine.

My Love's Poem

Hello my love
My precious lil dove
You're my princess
Just a beautiful goddess
Sent from above
For me to love
I'll love you till the end of time
If you will only be mine
I'll always be here
I'll take away your fear
It breaks my heart to see you sad
I'll do everything in my power to make you glad
I'll always be your Klown
I'll try and take away your frown
Only want to see you smile
It lifts my heart a mile
I'll always care
I'll be your teddy bear
I'm your partner in crime
Till the end of time

Almost had this one published. Yet I'm still trying to get it in a few magazines and books yet. So hopefully It'll make it.

One Month of the Year

One month of the year
Most people don't live in fear
Have no place for hate or greed
Only feel the great need
To help the homeless and the poor
Buy them food and clothes that they can't afford
Dressing up and giving out toys like Santa Claus
Thinking they are helping out the cause
But after the birth of their Savior and the New Year
They all go back to living in fear
Over things they see and hear
Dissing the homeless living on the streets
Not even thinking of giving them something to eat
Laughing at the poor using food stamps
Thinking that they are Welfare tramps
Saying useless bums
Turning our cities into slums
The damn poor
That our taxes are paying for
Why donate anything?
All ready gave them lots of things
That one holy month of the year
That we all hold dear

Very nice, I enjoyed them both!

Here goes, enjoy!

This hasn't been published or nothing, it's my most recent one.

A Dead Man's Dream

Black swirling and bending
into a vortex of thought,
This man did not know
that it was all for naught.
He knew enough to know indeed
that the pain he felt real,
And that his reason for living
Construes this strange wheel.
He did nothing but love her
and hope for the best,
His love, unselfishly given
has determined his rest.
She accepted his heart
and smiled for show,
She knew she'd break his heart
She knew she would go.
So she left him one day
very sudden and quick,
He knew not what to think
and became gravely sick.
She left him an empty shell
a mere portion of who he had been,
Indeed he loved a girl
As have all men.
Being crushed and hurt
and quite very alone,
He slipped into slumber
his cause... unknown.
He is lost to this world
his mind floating free,
This is a taste of how cruel
a woman's love can be.
I pity this man
for all his woes and pains,
For I don't experiance
his lack of gains.
I have a girl
who so deeply touches my heart,
This woman has become so special -
of my life, she is a great part.
She is so beautiful,
gorgeous, and perfect,
Without words she demands
my attention, and my respect.
That fool in his dream -
dead as can be,
Found a bad apple
from the wrong tree.
In my world
I keep my love
Invested in one person.
We'll have good times
With lots of love
And hopefully some fun.

This is a fun little poem I wrote.

Too Much

Writing a sonnet is quite a tough task,
I wish I could find the right words to use,
I wish I could set my brain out to bask,
In my knowledge without any abuse.

I’m tired, I’m cranky, I want to sleep,
My eyes are tired from staying up late,
My head is on fire, I want to weep!
This assignment is too big for my plate.

I fidget and squirm, I cannot sit still,
My mind is far away in some strange place,
I cannot write this I don’t have the will,
My mind remains absent in Outer Space.

I guess this poem was not meant to be,
You really expected too much of me!

Unfortunately, I can not find any of my published pieces! I shall look for them. My first one is entitled "The Haunting"

Nice, I liked them both. Your last one reminds me of when I was in highschool. UCH, I hated some classes so bad, that's how i was. *laughs*

This is one of my most recent ones. Needs a few more touch ups but it's a work in progress.

Fragile Existence

Clear cutting Forrest's
Taking away ancient ecosystems
Knocking over trees
Whipping out animals homes
Manifest Destiny
On a new land
Creating havoc
More creatures going extinct

Broken blood vessels
Infected cuts
Bug bites and stings
Allergic reactions
Breech Births
Born Premature
Drug addicted parents,
Drug addicted newborns
Loss of human life

Men playing God
Creating new germs
Up grading current plagues
Creating new weapons
Psychos at the controls
Waiting for a reason,
To push the button
Eliminate all existence
That lives on this planet

Ohh and one I wrote that was inspired by a counciler I had when I was younger.

Writing is my Therapy

Writing is my Therapy
It helps me clear my head
Gets my thoughts out in the open
Instead of holding them in

I use my pencil
To put my feelings on paper
For I know it will listen
It'll never judge me

Writing is my prescription for depression
Instead of slipping into the darkness
Listening to the evil thoughts
I write it out, Letting it go

I write out my Anger
Letting loose my aggression
Taking it out on this pad of paper
Instead of Another person

I write down my fears
Letting go of my tears
Getting it out in the open
Releasing the pressure on my soul

I write to show my feelings
Happy or sad, good or bad
My soul put down in ink and lead
For writing is my Therapy
Helps me get things out of my head

I have a whole collection of Dark Modern poetry, I'll post a few of them and if you like them you can email me and I'll send the whole collection. Jeff

EYE REATHED IN PAIN
The eye, it’s always watching.
It changes colors, change angles, changes stance.
It is more than an eye wreathed in pain,
More than an eye staring blankly in the dark.
It’s a mind, a face, a thought.

It’s more than you will ever dream of.

It’s beyond your comprehension. And it is frightful.
For it has scared the few who have seen it.
And now they are a blank wall. Yet it burns with longing to see.
To comprehend, to love, for the blank walls are like scars to it.
Failed attempts, living evidence.

That all it can do is fail. For the eye has spoken.
The tear has fallen. The end is coming, the flame is dying.
The light is fading. The burnt spot growing.

--------------

UNTOUCHABLE FLOWERS, UNTASTABLE FRUIT
You are beautiful. Like the flowers,
Yet you are protected, out of reach.
Like a flower in a thicket of thorns

You are sweet, like a fruit,
Like a fruit on a brace hanging far over a cliff,
Out of reach, yet I long for you.

But I cannot decide to leap, To leap out and grab the fruit and the branch.

For failure is almost certain.
I could miss the branch and fall to my death.
I could leap, grab the fruit, but miss the branch, and so destroy you and me.
I could catch the branch but let the fruit fall.

And I would rather leave you unharmed, than take the chance of losing
you forever. Even if I never had you.

This is a short poem I wrote, I'm not very experienced in writing poetry, so I'd like some honest opinions.

The quiet chorus of the night enfolds
in peacefull rapture my world weary heart.
Each star a saphire dream of many roads
uncharted and unknown. A journeys start
at the world's end. Riding gently on soft
streams of thought amid breezes cool and fair
a fairy's flight upon each breath of air.
serene sweet night, it lifts my soul aloft.

Not really classified as my own work but you can never go wrong with classical poetry... Homer (Oddessy) which is just a massive poem although it may not seem that way after translation. Edgar Allan Poe is always a treat.

Just so it doesn't seem I'm spamming I read some of your stuff and although I'm not much into the verbal arts myself it seems pretty good.

These are my two, well, I've written more, but these two have been published:

Sonnet of a Flower

Ah, dear flower over what do you weep?
You're more beautiful than the rising sun
Yet, as lonely as the darkest night, deep
Why do you hide your joy, or is there none?

What stops your from displaying your joy, true?
Might it be the grief of losing a friend?
Will this painful grief ever trouble you?
When will this despair finally meet end?

How you act so joyful from day to day
And display your beauty for all too see
When deep inside there are things you can't say
Is such an intriguing mystery!

My dear flower, please come bask in the light,
And once again be glorious and bright.

The Death of the Brave

The man stood, emerging from his spot.
His dirty-blonde hair seemed to cascade
down his brow
as he turned to face the morning sun.
His hands and face were splattered with mud
and the crimson blood of wounded men.
His ice-blue eyes swept over the land.
As he turnned his head, something caught
his attention.
A lone black figure stood directly between
him and the sun.
Suddenly, like a wave of terror, a black
wave swept the hill.
He turned to warn the camp and knew it was
too late.
He heard a single shot fire, and grimaced
as white-hot lead pierced his back.
He grabbed his chest and fell to his knees,
suddenly, all went black.
Another brave soldier had served.

This one has too, but I wrote it in 6th grade lol:

Mosquito

A mosquito is a bug who flies through the air.
A pesky little critter who might land in your hair!

He loves to buzz through the air each night
Searching for someone to give a fright.

Long and thin like a needle is he.
He's looking for someone maybe you or me!

Buzz, buzz, buzz, a mosquito I see!
SLAP! Poor mosquito!Shouldn't have landed on me!

Hey, it's all looking great guys!

Simon, for saying you don't have much experience that is a very good poem! Oh, Klown? In one of your line I think it should be wiping? As in to wipe the table, right? You have whipping, like with a whip. just checking...

A Hailu is a Japanese poem like this

5 sylables
7 sylables
5 sylables

Like these I wrote.

I've searched the whole world,
Seen women of every kind,
But none are like you,

Your hair is like silk,
Your eyes shimmer like starlight,
I know I'm in love.

I could sing a song,
Or use big flattering words,
Just so you noticed,

I don't have to though,
For she made it clear enough,
I will wait for her.

This last one finishes the series, but it's not a Haiku.

Moonlight shimmers on the southern wall,
Still sleep evades me, it won't come at all,
She haunts me through the long hours at night,
Seizes me with an unknown might,
Could I hope to someday be free?
Nay, my love for her has caught me.

Hope you liked them, it was inspired by someone recently.

"hold on to ME"

although everything around me is falling,
on the inside doubting even my salvation,
there's the voice of one calling out to me,
the words he speaks to me, oh ow they set my spirit free!

hold on to me my child, i'll never leave you alone,
when you legs give out i'll be the one who carries you,
remember after all of your work here is through,
you'll rest in peace in your blood bought eternal home,

girl out there setting so sad and hopeless,
waiting and expecting the pain to go away when you put on the wedding dress,
can't you understand that hole can only be filled by a saviour?
he has an endless love to give you and only asks for one small favor,

hold on to me my child, i'll never leave you alone,
when you legs give out i'll be the one who carries you,
remember after all of your work here is through,
you'll rest in peace in your blood bought eternal home,

little child running from a past so cold and painful,
don't let those demons fool you any longer now,
you are loved greatly by the GOD who made us all,
just listen close, oh can't you hear him call?

hold on to me my child, i'll never leave you alone,
when you legs give out i'll be the one who carries you,
remember after all of your work here is through,
you'll rest in peace in your blood bought eternal home.

"standing because HE is strong"

don't worry i've seen the strongest fall,
years of service then it seems they almost quit,
but i can not judge 'cause i'm the weakest of them all,
before the rain even comes i can feel it hit,

the temptation comes and they can't seem to hold on to his hand,
drawn away by their flesh and all it's lust so strong,
but wait little child 'cause he's on his way and he'll help you stand,
and in the end we'll go where there is no evil, where we can do no wrong,

we're so easily scattered that it breaks my heart in two,
why did we ever let our guard down? now standing unable to fight,
oh little child can't you see his hand waiting to pull you through?
stay on your knees with your voice out loud crying to the one who'll bring you light,

when the devil comes at you with all his might rejoice because he tries,
understand he don't try to get what he already has in his control,
remember the words of CHRIST, for they'll shatter those confusing lies,
and stand bold because the SON of GOD is always on patrol,

he'll scatter the demons chasing after your soul,
just remember the only way to win is by believing everything CHRIST had to say,
and swing your sword carefully as you fight the foe,
GOD will always pull you through just ask for his help when you pray.

the end

here's personal one. the woman it talks about is my x-fiance...she married somebody while we we're still "engaged". she lives in another state for y'all people that are thinking "how in the world could he be that clueless???" . but i thank God she did, cause...well it's better that way.

"so much more"

i get so confused that my faith becomes weak,
but i keep on praying and trying to do right,
in the midst of my trials it's GOD i seek,
and when i'm on the mountain i prepare for the fight,

i've had one big heart ache for a while now,
but it's so small compared to so many mens,
and then there's you LORD, who bore all the grief and woe,
just to give us the choice to have forgiveness of our sins,

but with that said i must tell you i'm so weak,
you tell me it's all ok and still i doubt,
doubting the words from the one who looks down at the mountain peak,
then you chastize me and remind me of what it's all about,

i still wanna see all my family saved, that aint changed,
i wanna be right with you, it's the only way to be happy and free,
and i still miss her, though nothing's really ever changed,
i know a wife's temporary, and you're the one that lasts an eternity,

it's like i miss what i haven't had yet, GOD you know,
the woman i'll kiss good night, and the woman that will be my wife,
the woman who my kids will call mommy, if the seeds you sow,
but i've never had the right to call her that, no not my wife,

if she's not mine GOD you'll have to show me somehow,
because i can't quit loveing her, yet i still love you more,
GOD you are the only way i'll ever let her go, that i know now,
nothing of this world can stop your love, cause your love is so much more.

the end.

sorry about all the post, but i really like sharing my poetry, cause it's my way of sharing my heart. which i don't do to often outside the 'net.
oh, and i just wrote this, hope somebody get's something from it .

"unworthy"

stranded alone inside my own prison,
temptation came and i took the bait,
forsaking the truth, i have no reason,
am i useless Lord, is this my fate?

neither cold nor hot, i stand still,
wanting to cry but no tears form,
why am i like this, the fire is now a mediocre chill,
i can't make it like this, hearing the devil's scorn,

i use to be so passionate, out of control,
now i'm unmoving, scared of what lies ahead,
i need your mercy Lord, i need you to hug my soul,
nobody knows the fear i have, my failures bring dread,

my imperfections are so many, how can i move?
Lord bring me out of this, save me from myself,
reality is so hard for me, help me move,
unworthy is what i am, thinking too much about myself,

help me remember the price you paid,
3 nails for my salvation, you died for one like me,
Lord i'm so unworthy of the price you paid,
use me for your glory, help me be free,

no joy do i have outside of your will,
no comfort i find in this world's offerings,
ignite the fire and melt away this chill,
all i have to give Lord is me, no offerings,

i have no real talents, or abilities i know,
but i have a willing heart and a need for you,
i know your great Lord, it's all done by you i know,
help me give my all, i owe everything to you.

Man???

How can you call yourself a man?
You abuse your woman
By mentally bashing her,
Physically beating her,
Leaving her battered, bruised
Bloody, and in tears.

How can you call yourself a man?
When you never take responsibility for your actions:
Lying and indicting others,
Denying that you had wronged her in any way,
Letting some one else be charged with the blame
For what you did.

How can you call yourself a man?
You don't take care of your child,
You created new life
From your own flesh and blood,
Brought into this world,
Abandoning both Mother and Child
Vanishing so you don't have to pay child support.

How can you call yourself a man?
You raise your hand to strike a child,
Beating and belittling the adolescent soul and,
It doesn't matter if the child is yours or not,
You still inflict pain and anguish
By making them pay
With your fiery aggression.

How can you call yourself a man?
How can you do such hateful things?
Does it make you feel superior?
Boost your ego?
Does it make you feel good?

Why you do those things,
I'll never understand.
I do know this,
Being born with a penis,
Does not make you a man.

A real man emits love,
Kindness, tenderness, love and respect,
Treats women like Goddesses,
Never causes them pain or anguish.

A real man accepts responsibility,
Whether it be good, bad,
Right or wrong,
He confesses his actions and
Accepts the punishment.

A real man loves children,
Whether it be his own flesh and blood,
Or the angel of his goddess,
He'll protect them with his life,
Teach them right from wrong
Loving them till his dying day.

A real man is charitable,
Give's and helps out when ever possible,
Never asking for anything in return,
Just knowing he helped,
Is payment and reward enough.

Bread

Bread, it is the bread of life.
It is the bread of death,
Tis the bread of all that is life and death.

No I'm not a fan of HIM. I never knew there was a band that used the Heartagram until some one here accused me of being some thing I wasnt. I just like the looks of it from when I seen Bam Margera skating and seen the symbol on the bottom of his board.

Thanks for the compliment on me writings tho.
