Any Comments about flying? slap em' in here; planes, gliders, choppers, anything! BTW, this thread is mainly geared towards flight simulators such as Airwulf, etc... (thought that needed some clearing up.) ------------------ [This message has been edited by chickadoo (edited November 24, 2004).] |

Planes are used to fly. Theres your wisdom for the day. I have a friend that is totally scared of flying, any tips to get him to go on an airplane? ------------------ |

um... tell him that eagles aren't sucked into jet engines. why is he scared of flying? there's nothing to worry about it. I sorta have a fear of hieghts, but that doesn't apply to flying. I think flying is cool, but my 15 hr flights can drag out a bit... I want to fly an F-22! ------------------ |

I like flying, I don't get as sick as I do in cars. I have to remember to bring entertainment with me on long trips, though . . . I've tried flying some of the larger jets in Flight Simulator, but I never seem to quite get lined up with the runway properly when landing. Maybe it's becuase I don't have a joystick, and the keyboard isn't exactly a good substitute. ------------------ Switch Mayhem now available! Get it here |

this, my friend is an F-22. developed by Lockheed-Martin, is the no1 Air-to-Air Superiotiy in fighter craft. costs around $100 million to make. can fly loops around the f-16. literally can do a 360 in the time a F-16 takes to do a 90. pilots who fly the f-16's say they'll take an F-22 anyday. now, I can settle for a F-35. ------------------ |

I remember seeing an article on the F-35; it was on PTV Nova. y'know s'funny, but i just saw that F-22 pic yesterday. I like F-16s because falcons are the fastest animal on earth (we have some faster ones in europa ) BTW cobraA1, My pastor says Joysticks are the only way to go in flight simulator. besides, those boeng jets in there take about 5 minutes to respond, and then they respond too much. I just use autopilot . ------------------ sory bowt mi speling [This message has been edited by chickadoo (edited November 25, 2004).] |

fastest animal: peregrine falcon. clocked up to 273 MPH. yeah, don't do a sim without a joystick. ------------------ |

preorder your skycar now!! for an order in the first 25, you'd need to deposit $100,000 and pay $995,000 total, if you can wait to the 200th skycar made a $10,000 deposit is sufficent, for a total of $500,000 - pretty reasonable Guaranteed Performance Certification Date

You CANT fly without a joystick. Ive tried it and they make it impossible. As for the real life flying, Ive flown once... on a bike... got about 5 foot in the air and... I dont wanna talk about it realy ------------------ I dont like siggys. They are to hard to think up :( |
