To anyone here that has the game - Have you ever tried sequence breaking? You know getting items before you're supposed to, skipping bosses and rooms etc. Doing thingso utside the normal fixed path.

I've managed to pull off a sideways dash jump that allowed my first item collected to be the Space Jump! No boost ball required, jumped straight from the ship to the ledge and got Space Jump.

I just used action replay---and thus became the uber ninja with unlimited life and all power ups---the game rocks tho---but the controller doesn't suit it well imo-------I think that both analoge sticks should be for moveement hehe

Ack cheating is no fun. Sequence Breaking is

hey hey lookie I got the plasma beam without Spider Ball or Grappling Beam!!

I got into Phazon Mines WITHOUT going through the crashed frigate!

^ Stuff like that. I haven't been in the frigate since I learnt you could avoid it!

i'm not much on metroid prime. but my view on cheating is this, single player games can be really fun with them, but it takes away the challenge of the game. so i usually just cheat on games where the whole point is to beat up and shoot up monsters and the bad guys. although i don't play realistic shooting games, something about snipering people out and it looking real bothers me...

I only cheat in a game I am either

a) Totally and utterly stuck and sick of playing.

or

b) I've beat the game many many times and I want something new.

The whole Sequence Breaking of Metroid has given me something new to aim for. Added a whole lot more fun to it too!
