I know I have to face them eventualy... But the scary thing is, when? I dont have the faith for it right now. What should I do? Any advise? Study the Gospels where Jesus was in the wilderness for 40 days being tested by Satan. And pray. Alot. Asking for help was a good decision too. God bless and I will keep you in prayer. |

Goop, resist evil and it will flee. If we sin we are slave of sin and therefore vulnerable. So you must stay on the right track and pray for Jesus to protect you and you have nothing to worry about! Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (Jam 4:7 KJV) When we 'backslide' Satan will come to us. But stay pure, pray and he cannot. God bless. ------------------

Goop2, satan and his demons will do all that they can to stop you from being who God wants you to be and doing what God wants you to do. Meditate on God's word, pray continually, and fellowship with other Christians. Whatever you do, don't let him get you alone! We are no match by ourselves, but if we are submitted to God and His will for our lives, then satan is no match for us... kind of like a detoothed lion... all roar, but no bite God Bless, I will keep you in my prayers. ------------------ |

And you even you wouldn't have Christian friends you are not alone if you have Jesus with you! Pray Jesus to come in to your heart and love God by doing he's will and the evil will flee. ------------------

Goop2, can you explain more fully how the demons are chasing you (and your brothers)? In this world their is always the struggle betwen our old 'natural' self and our new redeemed self, just as their is a battle between Gods Kingdom and the Kingdon of the devil. But remember, Jesus Christ has ALREADY defeated the devil and put him in chains until the final day. Jesus is above EVERY power and principality, HE is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and EVERY knee (humans, angels, demons and the devil) must bow before Him. Your old self is subject to this world and the devil, so 'lay down' the old man by submitting yourself to Christ as much as you can. The more you can do this, the more you will live 'in' and according to the new man and hence the easier your battle will be. But even if you NEVER 'lay down' the old self, Christ STILL has the victory over the devil and your new self is secure in Him. This can NEVER be taken away from you - NEVER! Why, because it is ALREADY accomplished God Bless, |

Ye, once I feel better Satans got trouble up HIS *** ! Hmmm... Daniel has nearly choped his thumb off with a chisel... no big deal I guess... but once he was on the track in a mini sprint(they normaly go about 75 into the turns), and the steering thingy fell out. He SHOULD have run into the wall and have been SCRAPED off! Instead, he just landed gently on his roof. Stephen dropped a knife and slit his wrist, my dad was out on the track, and had a muffler break off of the car infront of him, it came right at his face(and most likely would have gone through the chicken wire sheild), but it just disapeared and came down from the roof of the car. Thats about all that comes to mind right now though..... I know Ive had some attacks, but I dont remember any at the moment. ------------------ |

The devil must flee you if you command him to in God's name! Command him to leave you next time he tries! ------------------ |

While that's true remember not to fight evil with evil since Satan is like ice and God is fire. ------------------

Goop, The most important part of the previously mentioned things is the verse The most important part of that verse is "submit yourself to God". This is not just talking about believing that you have protection in God, it is about being obedient to God's will. We do not need to fear the devil or his minions, but neither should we speak flippantly or foolishly about them. See the book of Jude and his comments on that topic. ------------------ |

I had a friend who was (and still is) going through the same stuff you are. It not my story to divulge, so I won't tell it, but it was pretty bad, a result of the actions of his Dad and his Dad's father. His Dad ended up commiting suicide, and it was by God's plan alone that he found his way into church, and only because of the encouragement of alot of people from our church that he stayed in it. As he continued to go to church, the demons and things that had plagued him while his Dad was still alive began to come back and attack him again. He would wake up and be physically restrained in his bed by demonic entities, he would have twisted, bloody dreams of all kinds of demonic junk. As you continued to defy and resist these things however, and not give in and just quit in an attempt to stop them the thing that was plaguing him began to weaken and break. The demon no longer bothers him physically or mentally, and just this summer he was called to become a preacher. As was stated above Satan wants us dead, not just weak, or alone, dead. He wants you dead Gloop, he wants your dad dead, they want your brothers dead, question is whether you're going to lie down and take it, or if you're going to take the fight back to them. Your statement about not having the faith to do it is not true. You can take them, heres why. They overcame Him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. There it is, written in black and white, there are no ifs ands or buts about it. No one can make the descision for you, are you going to claim his promises over yourself and your family, or are you going to just try to get by. Study your Bible, find the promises it contains, and claim them over yourself and your family. Take the battle to the enemy, don't let him keep the upper hand any longer. ------------------ The old that is stong does not wither From the ashes a fire shall be woken Renewed shall be blade that was broken |
